Inter-religious dialogue and peace in the Balkans in the period 1990-2009

The project focuses on the realization of a TV series entitled „Inter-religious dialogue and peace in the Balkans in the period 1990-2009“, aiming to improve relations in the region of Southeast Europe. The project was implemented under the auspices of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe with the grant of the Swiss Foundation for Peace and Crises Management.

This significant series of three TV episodes with titles (1) Awakening the Balkans, (2) Past is Warning Us (3) Faith, Love, Hope was intended to demonstrate the need for dialogue among all citizens of our society with a special emphasis on the role of inter-religious dialogue and its value for society, for the individual and for peace.

Prestigious commentators shared their opinions and standpoints: Mr. Guido Bellatti Ceccoli, Ambassador of San Marino at the Council of Europe, in charge of inter-religious dialogue issues; Prof. Dr. Darko Tanaskovic, eminent religion theorist and professor at the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade; Prof. Dr. Radovan Bigovic, President of the Christian Cultural Center; Prof. Dr. Jean François Collange, President of the Protestant Church of Alsace, Augsburg and Loraine; Mr. Grigorije, Bishop of Zahumlje and Hercegovina; Monsignor Stanislav Hocevar, Archbishop of Belgrade; Rabbi Mr. Isak Asiel; Belgrade Mufti of the Islamic Community in Serbia, Muhamed ef.
